Science Says This Is The Best Age To Have A Baby
By DENISE PORRETTO
Choosing whether or not to have a baby is a huge decision, and for women, age is a significant factor. While a woman’s age is extensively considered when having a baby, there are other factors to consider, including financial status, career, and a man’s age.
From a biological point of view, the best time for women to get pregnant is between the late 20s and early 30s, with one study putting the exact age at 30.5. Women who become pregnant over 35 are more likely to have a stillbirth or premature birth, and older fathers may also have more difficulty impregnating a woman due to the decrease in testosterone, quantity, and genetic quality of sperm.
When it comes to financial capability, Financial Samurai estimates that potential parents will be doing quite well financially between 30 and 35 years of age, with the optimal age for pregnancy being 32. Still, deciding when to conceive is personal, and the best age differs for every woman.
