The Cardiac Health Issues Of Lisa Marie Presley's Family Explained

The music world was shocked when the death of Lisa Marie Presley, 54, was announced on January 12, 2023. The official cause of death has not been confirmed, but she suffered cardiac arrest in her home, similar to her father, Elvis, who died of a heart attack in his home at age 42.
Elvis was not the first Presley to die of a heart attack, because both of his parents passed away for the same reason. His mother Gladys died of one in 1958, after a summer of feeling unwell, and his father Vernon later followed in 1979 after struggling with heart disease for a very long time.
It’s only in recent years that researchers found the genes that may pass heart disease down from generation to generation, according to Harvard Health. Unfortunately, it will be some time before this discovery can be put into action to avoid and diminish these tragic losses.
