The Health Benefits Of Argan Oil
By SABIKA HASSAN
Argan oil is commonly found in beauty and healthcare products, including shampoos, lotions, and moisturizers. This oil is derived from the argan tree, which is native to Morocco, and has been traditionally used for its health benefits (and at one time, was used for burning oil lamps).
Though research is limited, argan oil is packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds that can potentially relieve irritation, redness, and rashes on the skin or scalp. The oil's high amounts of vitamin E can reduce negative effects caused by free radicals and help alleviate symptoms of inflammatory conditions such as liver disease.
This healthy oil also contains omega-3 fatty acids, known for reducing heart failure risk and managing cholesterol levels, but not much research has been done on the practice of consuming argan oil. However, it is an excellent natural product to moisturize your skin, make skin softer, and reduce dark spots and blemishes.
