The Peanut Butter Alternative That Has Just As Much Protein

If you're looking for an alternative to peanut butter, soy nut butter is an excellent choice. It contains similar levels of protein but offers additional health benefits.
Two tablespoons of chunk-style peanut butter with salt has 7.7 grams of protein. In comparison, two tablespoons of Wowbutter soy nut butter provides 8 grams of protein.
Both the spreads contain similar levels of potassium — about 239 milligrams in two tablespoons. However, soy nut butter provides almost twice the amount of iron as peanut butter.
Soy nut butter also offers around 10% of your daily recommended amount of calcium, way more than peanut butter. Like peanut butter, soy nut butter is also high in calories and fat.
However, just 2 out of the 18 grams of fat are saturated. The rest includes 10 grams of monounsaturated and over 4 grams of polyunsaturated fats, which are good for health.
Soy protein offers many health advantages, including lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol, reducing the risk of metabolic syndrome, and supporting healthy blood pressure levels.
