This Is What Happens When You Drink Coffee Creamer Every Day
By ANNE TAYLOR
It may be surprising to learn that most coffee creamers don't contain any cream. The main ingredients tend to be water, sugar, and oils, including hydrogenated oils which are trans fats, and these should be significantly limited in your diet.
"We consume trans fats when we eat animal products; however, if we take too much of trans fats, we're putting ourselves at risk of raising LDL (or 'bad' cholesterol)," Nikola Djordjevic, MD, a board-certified family physician says. However, if your overall diet is low in trans fats and you stick to a small serving of coffee creamer each day, you can enjoy it without worrying too much.
Experts agree that the best coffee creamer is real milk or cream, as this will add creaminess and flavor to your coffee without any preservatives or additives. Milk also adds calcium and vitamins A, D, and B12 to your morning.
