Bunnie Xo's Praise For Jelly Roll's 'Growth' After Weight Loss Isn't Backed By Science

On February 17, 2026, Bunnie Xo made a bombshell admission about her husband Jelly Roll when she publicly gave props to him for his dramatic weight loss and newfound... uh... growth. "I will tell you that it is very true that when a man loses weight, it grows a lot," she dished during an appearance on "The Howard Stern Show." She added, "severely bigger."

As you may recall, Bunnie Xo has never been one to shy away from discussing the couple's personal life, including their sex life, Jelly Roll's massive weight loss, and even her horrible experience with GLP-1s. Alas, it appears that in this particular case, she may have stuck her foot in her mouth, as her claim isn't actually backed by science. According to the direct-to-patient telehealth company, Ro, the idea that weight loss will cause a male's penis to grow is resoundingly false. Perhaps Bunnie Xo's praise was more simply a product of wishful thinking or even the placebo effect? To that, we say, we love a supportive queen!

Obesity can cause a condition known as 'buried penis' in males

It is entirely possible that what Bunnie Xo was actually referring to while discussing Jelly Roll's "severely bigger" genitalia on "The Howard Stern Show," was a condition known as "buried penis." "In general, it's when tissue, usually lower abdominal tissue, or fat surrounds the penis — or covers or hides the penis. Clinically, when you look, you can't see the penis, or it looks short or buried in that tissue," urologist Justin Dubin, M.D., told Men's Health. Still, it should be emphasized that the penis never actually changes size. It just "doesn't extend outside the body," urologist Drogo Montague, M.D., explained to Men's Health — ultimately making it appear smaller.

While there are many causes for buried penis (also known as "hidden," "vanishing," or even "concealed" penis), including congenital anomalies, lymphedema, and even surgical error, Montague told Men's Health that the main culprit is obesity. "With extreme obesity, it's like the obese body engulfs the penis. A full buried penis is when the entire penis shaft is buried below the surface of the skin," Montague explained.

We would be remiss, however, not to point out that Bunnie Xo wasn't entirely wrong in her observations about her husband and his newfound sexual prowess and "peacocking around" post-weight loss. "Most men associate their penis with their masculinity, and they associate fertility with masculinity. These kinds of issues can have strong mental health implications," Dubin explained. Fortunately, according to the Cleveland Clinic, merely losing excess weight can remedy the condition and subsequently banish those feelings of low self-worth.
