Forget The Bikini: Ali Larter's Reason For Wanting To Be 'Rocking It' At 80 Is Pure Angela Norris
As Ali Larter entered her 50s, she found herself more committed than ever to her wellness routine for reasons that went beyond aesthetic benefits. Speaking to Canyon Ranch in 2026, the "Landman" star shared why she vehemently stuck to her daily wellness routine, explaining, "I want to pick up my grandchildren. I want to be rocking it at 75, 80... and living the best life." Whether she intended to or not, her words perfectly echoed the sentiments of her on-screen counterpart, Angela Norris, whose life is centered around her family.
While several celebrities rush to follow complicated daily routines in the name of health, Larter sticks with the tried-and-true basics. During a 2025 chat with People, the "Final Destination" star didn't shy away from admitting that it wasn't always easy to stick to a grueling wellness routine that started with a 4:30 a.m. wake-up. Shortly after she opened her eyes, she went out for a run.
In her chat with Canyon Ranch, Larter shared what went through her head as she got in her first exercise of the day, saying, "[When I'm running], a lot of time I'm praying, I'm thinking about my children, I'm thinking about parents, I'm manifesting my dreams." Larter's workouts weren't just limited to runs, though, as she also tried to get in three 30 to 45-minute strength training sessions per week. When it came to physical activity, Larter was more interested in consistency over perfection. As a result, her daily runs varied from 20 minutes to 30 minutes. Regardless of how long her cardio sessions lasted, she was rightfully proud of herself for showing up.
Ali Larter cares for her body and mind in more ways than one
Speaking to People in 2025, Ali Larter opened up about her diet, saying, "I try to eat very clean, but I eat. I'm one of those protein mommies. I eat so much protein, all day long. It works for me." In a 2016 interview with Brit + Co, Larter revealed that her ideal way to kickstart a Monday was with a coffee and a healthy breakfast.
For the "Varsity Blues" star, a nourishing breakfast looked like granola, yogurt, or scrambled eggs. Afterwards, she would have a green juice. (For the most part, green juice isn't as healthy as you think. However, there's one trendy green vegetable juice, kale, that is high in essential vitamins and can also lower cholesterol.) Larter would keep lunch light but filling with a protein-packed salad, and preferred having grilled salmon or a soup or a stew for dinner. As a general rule of thumb, she avoided a carb-heavy dinner and steered clear of dairy whenever possible. Larter is apparently taking a page out of the book of celebrities over 40 who ditched dairy for glowing skin.
In addition to focusing on her diet and exercise, Larter also makes a conscious effort to protect her mental peace. During a 2026 appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show," Larter shared that she prayed or meditated about 15 times in a day to ground herself enough to deal with the stresses of her job and her general anxiety. With all this in mind, it's no surprise that Larter appears to be thriving.
