Teresa Giudice, mother of four and former star of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," was hospitalized on Wednesday, March 23, People reported. Teresa's eldest child, Gia, broke the news in an Instagram Story in which she asked people to keep her mother in their prayers as she recovered. The post featured a picture of Teresa lying in a hospital bed, wearing a mask and covered with a standard hospital blanket. Gia captioned the story, writing, "Such a trooper, I love you. Pray for a speedy recovery. I love you @teresagiudice."

Teresa's attorney, James J. Leonard, Jr., revealed in a statement to People that "Teresa was admitted to the hospital last night and had a non-cosmetic emergency procedure this morning." He continued, writing, "She is recuperating and is looking forward to a speedy recovery. She thanks everyone for their prayers and well wishes."

Teresa Giudice's daughter nor lawyer have revealed why the "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" was hospitalized. Over the years, Teresa has developed quite a reputation for her strides in good health. She told Women's Health that even though she hates the word "diet," she recognized the need to trade in her pasta for good carbs and eat more protein and veggies. Lean grilled meats, green vegetables, oatmeal, and egg whites are all staples in her new lifestyle of eating she developed after serving an 11-month prison sentence for fraud in 2015.

In 2016, Teresa set her sights on becoming a yoga instructor (via People). In addition to getting her om on, Teresa's fitness routine proves she goes hard in the gym. Bravo shared her muscle-defining workout that she posted in Instagram stories, which included a series of various machine exercises. 

In 2018, Teresa took her bodybuilding efforts to the stage and placed third in her first competition. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, she said bodybuilding was something she always wanted to do for herself and that her body transformation "debunks the myth that if you're over 40, you can't look good."
