Experience

Gretchen Sterba is a Chicago-based writer, essayist, and journalist. Previously, her writing has been published in BUST Magazine, where she previously worked as an intern generating site coverage, HuffPost Personal, and the Chicago Reader, among others. Even when she's not writing, she's probably thinking or analyzing the last film or TV shows she's binging. In her spare time, you can find her at a local city coffee shop sipping oat milk lattes and refreshing her TMZ app.

Education

Gretchen attended Columbia College Chicago and earned a Bachelor of Arts in magazine journalism and creative nonfiction writing. There, she worked with experienced journalists and writers who got her into the field and nurtured a passion of news and profile writing. In addition, she also holds a Masters in education from Roosevelt University in Chicago. Although she also loves to work with youth, writing is her number one passion.
