Maxine Taylor has been a professional writer and editor since 2005. In her role as an acquisitions editor for a nationally recognized reference publisher, she has shepherded hundreds of books, including large multivolume encyclopedic sets, through the development process. Her areas of expertise include health, wellness, and psychology, with a special focus on nutrition and physiology. She joined the Health Digest team in 2020. That same year, Maxine also published her first book, "There's a Cow in My Freezer: The Complete Guide to Buying, Storing, and Enjoying Pasture-Raised Meat in Bulk," which walks readers through the process of buying meat by the whole animal direct from local farmers.
