Kylie Jenner Has Chronic Back Pain At 28 — And Moms At Any Age Will Totally Get It
On December 4, 2025, 28-year-old mother of two Kylie Jenner took to her Instagram Stories to speak candidly about her personal struggles with "bad chronic back pain" following her second pregnancy with son, Aire, and her subsequent ongoing quest to find relief. "Nothing I tried seemed to help," Jenner revealed about her ongoing postpartum back pain — which is unfortunately one of the things that can happen to your body after giving birth (via E! News).
As it turns out, however, Jenner's plight isn't all that rare for moms of any age. (Moms get all the fun, right?) "Postpartum back pain is really common," pain management and integrative health expert Lillie Rosenthal, D.O., explained in a blog post for Anya. "And like most pain syndromes, there are multifactorial contributions. It's not just one thing."
According to Rosenthal, postpartum back pain can stem from a difficult labor and delivery or simply from the way the body fluctuates amid weight gain, hormonal surges, and other changes that occur during pregnancy. Unfortunately, following delivery, the back pain doesn't always subside. In some cases, childbirth can actually exacerbate the pain. There's also everyday postpartum life to contend with, including "sitting, holding a baby, picking up the baby from a crib, leaning over the baby to change a diaper" — all of which can wreak havoc on your posture and result in serious back pain issues. So despite having an Oscar-nominated boyfriend, a stacked bank account, and access to just about anything she wants — Jenner is like any mom in this department. Well, sort of.
The key to combating postpartum back pain is to be proactive
Fortunately, there are some things women can do to be proactive when it comes to postpartum back pain, including implementing certain lower back stretches and exercises to prepare for labor into their daily routine, and even seeking out the care of a chiropractor who specializes in pregnant patients and various pregnancy-related ailments. "The best use of chiropractic, in general, has to do with musculoskeletal problems, and, in pregnancy, a lot of women have problems that are caused by the uterus being off center," certified nurse-midwife Mary Hammond-Tooke at The Maternity Center in Bethesda, Maryland, told WebMD in 2002. "The uterus is pulling out in front and not well-balanced in back."
As for Jenner, following her own bout with postpartum chronic back pain, she credits her personal road to healing to stem cell therapy treatments provided by Dr. Adeel Khan at Eterna Health. "I'm honestly so grateful for the opportunity and resources. Everybody's body is different, but this has been a huge step in my healing," she shared on her December 4 Instagram Stories (via E!News). Still, the celebrity cautioned her followers to do their own homework before jumping into any treatments or procedures. "Talk to your doctor and medical professionals, but I just wanted to share in case this helps anyone."
Of course, Jenner offers a nice sentiment, but her advice might land a little off with us normies. "Shout-out to all the women who suffer from back pain after child birth but are too poor to have stem cell therapy," one person cracked on Twitter. Touché.
