We Analyzed Every Moment Of Kid Rock And RFK Jr.'s Shirtless Health Video So You Don't Have To
In yet another installment of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s relentless and never-ending quest to "Make America Healthy Again," he joined forces with none other than MAGA rocker Kid Rock to create a video meant to inspire Americans to, uh, *checks notes* "GET ACTIVE" and "EAT REAL FOOD."

Ironically, Kid Rock is not exactly known for being the epitome of health. As you may recall, the rocker famously embarked on his own fitness journey, even overhauling his diet in 2021. "You can't just run around doing what I was doing for the last 20 years forever and not expect some major consequences," he famously said about his decision to get healthy during an appearance on "This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von." Meanwhile, in a deep-seated confession of his own on the same podcast in February, RFK Jr. admitted that he "used to snort cocaine off of toilet seats." A likely health duo, indeed.
As one can imagine, there's a lot to unpack in the 90-second aspirational health video, aptly titled "Rock Out Work Out," and set to Kid Rock's 1999 hit "Bawitdaba." In the confines of the video, a camera follows a denim-clad RFK Jr., along with Kid Rock and his signature beer belly in tow, as they fuel up on red meat, cold plunge, spot each other while doing ab crunches, work out in a dry sauna, and guzzle whole milk in a hot tub to their hearts' content. Fortunately, we've analyzed every single cringey moment from the shirtless health fiasco video, so you don't have to. You're welcome.
RFK Jr. fueled up on red meat prior to working out
But first, MEAT. Right out of the gate, before any working out, Kid Rock appears in the kitchen, serving up Robert F. Kennedy Jr. a very large steak topped off with a heaping pile of sauerkraut. Yum? As you may recall, the health secretary is a big proponent of the carnivore diet. "I only eat meat or fermented foods," he told USA Today in January. (Never forget his bizarre birthday "cake" for his 72nd birthday.)
According to board-certified radiologist Dr. Mia Kazanjian, however, existing on meat, fish, eggs, and kimchi alone isn't without its drawbacks. "Eliminating fruits, vegetables and whole grains is dangerous because it deprives people of essential vitamins, minerals, fiber, phytochemicals and antioxidants," Kazanjian told Fox News Digital. Meanwhile, registered dietitian Jamie Nadeau has cautioned that the carnivore diet isn't exactly heart-healthy, explaining to USA Today in June 2024 that "the entire diet is made up of high saturated fat foods."
Kid Rock was caught working on a different kind of six-pack
It's no secret that Kid Rock loves beer. "I like to drink my beer ... I can drink some f***ing beer ... I enjoy that and I'm not f***ing stopping," the 55-year-old famously told Joe Rogan during a June 2024 appearance on "The Joe Rogan Experience." Ironically, in the "Rock Out Work Out" video with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., viewers get a front-row seat as the rockstar works on a very different kind of six-pack, eking out as many abdominal crunches as his body will, all while the secretary crouches down, dutifully holding his feet.
Unfortunately, for Kid Rock and his self-professed affinity for brew, the joke's still on him. According to family medicine physician Daniel Allan, M.D., consuming excessive amounts of alcohol can wreak havoc on your waistline, sabotage workout results, and have dire consequences on one's overall health. "A person with a very firm beer belly is at even higher risk for health problems because it's typically caused by a high accumulation of visceral fat," Allan told the Cleveland Clinic. "This fat is located in the organs themselves and between the organs inside your abdomen."
RFK Jr. had his blue jeans on
True to form, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. traipses around in a crisp pair of tight denim jeans throughout the entirety of the video — even going as far as to cold plunge in them. And while that alone provides loads of entertainment for viewers, it's simply not advisable. "Tight-fitting clothes have the capacity, when 'too tight,' to put additional stress on the stomach and intestines," registered dietitian Michelle Rauch told Healthline.
But that's not all. Dr. Hilary Jones told Medical News Today that wearing tight clothes for extended periods of time (like, say, RFK Jr. does during one of his long workout sessions) can increase the risk of infection. "Wearing tight-fitting clothing over a prolonged period of time can lead to urinary tract infections leading to over-activity of the bladder weakness as well as a low sperm count and fungal infections," Jones cautioned. "I have seen several cases of men who have twisted their testicles due to wearing jeans that are far too tight," she added. YIKES.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Kid Rock slammed whole milk in a hot tub
Got milk? Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, including the official Department of Health and Human Services video "Rock Out Work Out" starring Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Kid Rock. In this case, the health video wraps with the men enjoying a nice leisurely hot tub session all while downing large and in charge glasses of whole milk — ultimately begging the question is this what happens to your body when you drink milk everyday? Drink milk three times and suddenly RFK Jr. and Kid Rock will appear in a hot tub? Fingers crossed!
While it's no secret that drinking milk has many health benefits, it's not actually a good idea to let it sit out — or in this case, warm up in a hot tub — before consuming it. Per the Food and Drug Administration's official website, dairy should be refrigerated at 40 degrees Fahrenheit (4 degrees Celsius) to prevent bacteria from growing. Bottoms up!
