What Are The Chances Of Barron Trump Suffering Hair Loss? The Internet Is Obsessed With His Locks

New hair, who this?! Barron Trump made quite the entrance when he turned up for his father, Donald Trump's big night at the State of the Union address. Alas, it was Barron's all-new hairdo that really stole the show. As evidenced in photos, the first son opted for a much more tousled look that practically screamed, "Hey, look at me and my flowing, feathered locks."

As you may recall, the last time Barron attended a public event was in January 2025, during his father's inauguration. At the time, he sported his hair in an ultra-slicked-backed coiff that had some eagle-eyed spectators questioning whether or not Barron was showing early signs of balding. " And while all the speculation regarding Barron's supposed hair loss was just that — speculation — it does appear that the probability that Barron is actually suffering from hair loss is pretty high. Sorry, Barron.

Male and female pattern baldness is hereditary

According to the Cleveland Clinic, male pattern baldness, also known as "androgenic alopecia," is hereditary and quite common, "affecting two-thirds of all men." As for Barron Trump, back in 2017, President Donald Trump's trusted and longtime physician, Dr. Harold N. Bornstein, made headlines when he revealed to The New York Times that his presidential patient had been taking finasteride, a hair growth drug prescribed to treat male pattern hair loss, per the Mayo Clinic. "He has all his hair," Bornstein proudly declared. Given the fact that Barron's father is no stranger to male pattern baldness, the chances are high that Barron is also suffering from the condition.

Dr. Gizem Seymenoglu also believes Barron has subtle signs of hair loss, citing the similarities between Barron and his famous father. "His frontal hair is likely thinning due to androgenetic alopecia or pattern hair loss, which is primarily a genetic condition that can be inherited from either parent," she told the Irish Star in January 2025, while swiftly debunking one of the top myths about hair loss. However, Seymenoglu was careful to note that she believes that Donald and Barron actually suffer from female pattern hair loss — another hereditary condition (per the Cleveland Clinic) — "because their hair is thinning all over the scalp, and their hairlines haven't exactly receded, which is typical of this type of hair loss." According to Seymenoglu, "male pattern hair loss begins with the recession of the hairline. However, as can be seen, both father and son have retained their frontal fringe while experiencing thinning at the top," she explained.
