Side-By-Side Pics Of Celebrities Who Have Denied Ozempic Use Amid Noticeable Weight Loss

The rise in the use of GLP-1s has fueled suspicions that anyone who loses weight must be secretly injecting Ozempic, Zepbound, Mounjaro, or a similar medication. And to be fair, plenty of A-list female stars and celebrity men have admitted to using GLP-1 drugs. However, that's not always the case, and you can't tell just by looking at someone.

Some celebrities insist that they've lost pounds without resorting to GLP-1 drugs. And many of them are fierce in their denials. Consider Khloe Kardashian, who wasn't letting anyone off the hook for suggesting she took a GLP-1 to get lean. "Let's not discredit my years of working out," commented Kardashian on Instagram, adding that she "[gets] up 5 days a week at 6am to train" (via Kardashian Social).

Kardashian is hardly alone in her clapback attitude. Many other stars have gone on record as going the old-fashioned route to get in their best shape.

Ashley Benson

When "Pretty Little Liars" star Ashley Benson posted a postpartum pic on Instagram in 2024, the accusations came along for the ride. "Ozempic is amazing," one follower cheekily said. But Benson squared off against the GLP-1 conspiracy theorists, posting on her Instagram stories: "Don't discredit people who also work very hard to get their body back like I've done with mine" (via Entertainment Tonight).

How did Benson get fit so quickly without any help from GLP-1s? In a People interview, she partially credited the power of high-intensity interval training, a type of exercise known to increase caloric post-workout burn.

Candace Cameron Bure

Weight wasn't a problem for childhood actress Candace Cameron Bure until she reached adulthood. At that point, she dealt with both binge eating disorder and bulimia, explaining to SELF that she struggled at first because she "didn't have the proper tools and didn't address the real underlying issue." Since then, Bure overcame her disordered eating habits and has focused on staying healthy. She's also been firmly against GLP-1 drugs for cosmetic weight loss.

Bure has described GLP-1s as "scary" and a "trend" (via Fox News). "It makes me sad to see everyone suddenly becoming skinny because I think it's very triggering for a lot of people our age," said Bure, who was born in 1976.

Luke Combs

"Am I really not going to get a shot because I'm just like a bigger dude?" That's what singer Luke Combs said he once wondered earlier in his career (via Popcast).

Yet Combs wasn't ready then (and isn't ready now) to try GLP-1s to get leaner, stating that taking weight-loss drugs "scares [him] more than [he thinks he] would enjoy the benefits." Instead, he says that he prefers "the fasting thing, the gluten-free thing." According to People, Combs lost 30 pounds by changing the way he ate.

Kylie Jenner

In 2024, Kylie Jenner faced accusations that she used Ozempic to drop weight after giving birth. During a British Vogue interview, she explained, "I see pictures [online] and people are accusing me of being on drugs."

However, E! News revealed in 2021 that Jenner wasn't using any medications to lose excess baby weight and was instead working out with a trainer. Jenner has also mentioned being patient about dropping pounds, implying she's not into fast weight loss. But social media hasn't completely gotten the message, it seems, as critics have begun saying Jenner has "Ozempic hands."

Jesse Plemons

How did celebrity Jesse Plemons lose 50+ pounds? Through intermittent fasting, he told the Los Angeles Times, adding that it was "really unfortunate that [he] decided to get healthy when everyone decided to take Ozempic."

Plemons' experience with intermittent fasting and carb-cutting apparently wasn't bad, describing it as "easy if you just actually do it" (via Interview). That said, he probably won't be taking any roles that require him to gain pounds again, like he did for "Black Mass" in 2015.
