Some Of The Healthy Foods That Make Up Kylie Jenner's Daily Diet

Kylie Jenner, the youngest sibling in the Kardashian-Jenner clan, may run a cosmetics empire, but she's no different from many other moms in that she gained some unwanted pounds during her pregnancies. According to Pinkvilla, the reality star put on 40 pounds during her first pregnancy and 60 pounds with her second (here's how much weight a dietitian says is safe to gain during pregnancy).

To lose the baby weight after the birth of her second child, Aire, Pinkzilla says that it was all about balance for Jenner, with her doing cardio and strength training specifically aimed at toning her core. She also maintained the same sensible approach when it came to diet. Jenner focused on vegetables, lean protein, and healthy fats, and chose fresh, organic foods over sugary, processed ones.

However, even when Jenner isn't trying to lose weight, she has some healthy favorites that she loves to consume frequently, sometimes even daily, including pomegranate and avocado.

Jenner says she eats pomegranate every day

A 2024 Instagram story revealed that Jenner really, really loves pomegranate (via The Kitchn). "I eat one of these a day," said the caption of the video, which showed her scooping out pomegranate seeds into a container. According to People, the makeup mogul even grows the burgundy fruit in her home garden so she can enjoy it whenever she wants.

The University of Florida says that pomegranates may boost heart health and prevent cancer, as well as having antiviral and antibacterial properties. In addition to containing a wide range of phytochemicals that may decrease oxidation, reduce inflammation, and even protect against aging, it's a good source of folate and potassium and a very good source of vitamin K — all for only 150 calories per 8-ounce serving. They additionally explain that the juice can provide 5% of your daily value for vitamins E, B6, and pantothenic acid. And if you eat the whole seeds with the embryo, you'll be getting fiber as well as around 40% of your daily vitamin C.

Jenner's breakfast often features smashed avocado

Another favorite of Jenner's is avocado, which she often serves for breakfast. In a February 2019 story on Instagram, she revealed that she was having smashed avocado alongside turkey bacon and toast, as well as fresh juice made with celery, carrots, apples, and ginger (via Us). She also enjoys avocado toast, according to another Instagram story, albeit with an unexpected sweet and spicy twist (via Yahoo!).

The Nutrition Source states that avocados are a good source of fiber as well as heart-healthy monounsaturated fat. They also contain nutrients like B vitamins, vitamins C, E, and K, potassium, magnesium, and carotenoids. A whole medium avocado contains 240 calories, but only 13 grams of carbohydrate. It's also naturally very low in sodium. In addition to being good for your heart, avocados have a low GI rating and contain components that may help prevent or control type 2 diabetes. Their carotenoid content may help protect eye health. Also, their fiber is good for your gut.
