Side-By-Side Pics Of Real Housewives Who Have Confirmed Ozempic And GLP-1 Use

It's hardly unusual for members of the "Real Housewives" to throw shade at each other in the form of weight-related insults. (They even do it with their children, as happened when Caroline Manzo called her daughter "eight pounds of sausage in a five-pound bag.") With this in mind, it probably comes as no surprise that a few past Housewives have tried GLP-1s like Ozempic and Mounjaro.

GLP-1s may be one of the trendiest drugs because they suppress appetite and allow people to rapidly drop pounds. Plenty of high-profile celebs have admitted to using GLP-1s, including Oprah Winfrey and Amy Schumer. After all, they don't have any reason to feel shame; it's becoming a common prescription. In fact, more than 12% of the adult American population has tried or is on a GLP-1, according to a 2025 Gallup survey.

With that said, these are the "Real Housewives" household names who've gone the GLP-1 route and showcased their leaner figures.

Margaret Josephs

For Margaret Josephs, using a GLP-1 allowed her to lose weight but had unexpected consequences for her appearance. "I was one of the first to go on a GLP-1," she told NewBeauty. Although she slimmed down, the skin on her face began to sag. (This GLP-1-related phenomenon is often referred to as "Ozempic face".)

The star also observed that the tip of her nose had begun to droop, though she wasn't sure if it was a direct result of her shedding pounds. Regardless, Josephs followed up her weight loss with cosmetic surgery on her nose. She noted on Instagram that she was pleased with the outcome, stating, "Now my nose fits my face."

Heather Gay

"Big-boned" is how Heather Gray described herself to USA Today during an exclusive interview about her GLP-1 weight transformation. She explained that though she didn't want her weight to become her identity, it surfaced repeatedly when she became a celebrity: "People were mean."

To drop 30 pounds, Gay started trying different GLP-1s in 2023, calling the experience a "miracle" in Women's Health. She noted that she uses them as part of an overall healthy lifestyle routine that includes eating nutrient-dense foods to avoid nutrition-linked problems. According to a 2026 review in Clinical Obesity, vitamin D, iron, and calcium deficiencies often co-occur with GLP-1s.

Emily Simpson

When she started gaining weight, Emily Simpson decided it was time to try Ozempic. It was the "kickstart" she needed, particularly after being diagnosed as pre-diabetic (via Real Self).

On a SiriusXM interview, she explained that she used the GLP-1 for one month to lose a handful of pounds. However, she quit the drug because it zapped her energy levels. (Between 47% and 65% of people may cease GLP-1s for various reasons, including cost and predictable GLP-1 side effects, according to KFF Health News.) Simpson continued to lose more weight by focusing on exercise and a protein-rich diet.

Dolores Catania

GLP-1s have helped Dolores Catania manage both her weight and some budding medical concerns. The star has been on GLP-1s twice now, she told USA Today. The second time was to help control her weight to better manage her atrial fibrillation, a treatable condition that causes heart fluttering and can raise the risk of developing cardiovascular disease. "When you're on a GLP-1, it lets you know when you've eaten enough," said Catania.

It's worth noting that the first time Catania revealed she took GLP-1s, she got social pushback. One X user tweeted she was "triggering." Another accused the celeb on X of taking GLP-1 meds when others had trouble getting them.

Lauren Manzo

Like many people, Lauren Manzo turned to Lap-Band surgery to jumpstart her weight loss. After reducing her weight by 30 pounds, she had the band removed and continued to focus on a healthier lifestyle. Her efforts allowed her to lose 50 more pounds.

By 2023, Manzo was nearly at her goal weight, but said on Instagram that she needed the extra help of a GLP-1 to hit her objective. "I have jumped on the Mounjaro train but that stubborn 8 pounds," she wrote.

Caroline Stanbury

One of the more shocking revelations about GLP-1 side effects came from Caroline Stanbury. During an interview on Page Six's Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, she described violently and suddenly throwing up after consuming alcohol. She even quipped, "If you haven't projectile vomited on Ozempic, you haven't lived."

Stanbury has revealed that she turned to GLP-1s to drop the 18 pounds she put on after undergoing IVF, according to People. On one of the episodes of her own podcast, Stanbury shared that Ozempic was an effective tool for helping women in their 40s keep off unwanted weight.
